Terms and Conditions for Educational Trips

1. Organiser
The China Foods Alliance (mybow gmbh) is not a tour operator, but acts as a consultant, intermediary and coordinating partner. The China Foods Alliance develops the educational programmes, coordinates collaboration with partner institutions and supports participants in preparing for the trip.

International flights, insurance and other individual travel arrangements are booked by the participants themselves.

The travel package in China (hotels, transfers, domestic flights, guides, training sessions, admission fees and other elements of the programme) is organised and delivered by the relevant partner organisations in China.

2. Registration
Registration can be completed using the registration form on the website or in writing. By registering, the participant accepts these Terms and Conditions. Registration becomes binding upon receipt of the registration fee.

3. Entry requirements
Participants are responsible for ensuring they comply with the entry requirements for China in force at the time of travel. At present, no visa is required to enter China for a stay of up to 30 days. This is subject to change due to political or official decisions.

A copy of your valid passport must be provided when booking hotels and other travel services.

Any additional hotel stays before or after the programme will be charged separately.

6. Movetia grant
Selected educational trips may be supported by Movetia, the national agency for exchange and mobility. As only a limited number of funding places are available, grants are primarily awarded to participants who act as multipliers. The funding is aimed in particular at individuals who can pass on the knowledge they have acquired in their professional environment and make a lasting contribution to training and further education within their professional sphere.

These include, amongst others:
◆ Teachers and educators
◆ Vocational trainers and apprenticeship supervisors
◆ Group leader
◆ Those responsible for initial and continuing training

Funding is awarded in accordance with Movetia’s current guidelines.

7. Offsetting

Registration fee
The first part of the participation fee serves as a registration fee and must be paid after submitting the form.

final payment
The second instalment of the participation fee must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice. You are only entitled to the services booked once full payment has been received.

Hotel
Any additional charges for hotel accommodation will be invoiced separately.

Movetia's share
Depending on the stage of the project and the available funds, part of the expected Movetia grant may already be taken into account when the final invoice is submitted. The final settlement will take place once the trip has been completed and the grant funds have been received from Movetia. Any remaining amounts will then be credited to the participants. There is no entitlement to a specific grant amount.

8. Cancellation policy

Cancellation by the participant
A refund of 50% of the registration fee is available up to 60 days before the start of the trip. No refunds will be given after that.

substitute
The participant may appoint a substitute who meets all the travel requirements. In this case, part of the trip may be transferred to the substitute, subject to a processing fee and the payment of any additional costs, such as hotel or domestic flight costs.

Alternative arrangements
If possible, the trip can be postponed to a later date. Participants may be given the option to transfer parts of their booking to a future trip.

Force majeure
If the trip cannot take place due to force majeure, refunds or credit notes may be offered, depending on the agreements in place with service providers such as hotels and airlines. In some cases, only a partial refund is possible if costs have already been incurred.

Insurance cover
Participants are strongly advised to check whether their travel insurance covers cancellations due to force majeure.
