With the official opening of the Südiareal Hochdorf on 9 May 2026, a site with over 130 years of industrial history was opened to the general public for the first time. Between former production halls, live music, tours and food stalls, a lively meeting place for encounters, culture and enjoyment was created.
We at the China Foods Alliance were particularly pleased to be part of this special event and to bring Chinese food culture to Hochdorf - with our own food truck and a variety of culinary offerings throughout the event.
The evening before, we had the pleasure of providing VIP catering for invited guests in collaboration with YingYing Catering. The focus was on a selection of freshly prepared Chinese specialities with a modern street food character. Various dumplings, handmade snacks and other small dishes were served to share and discover together. It wasn't just about culinary delights, but also about encounters, atmosphere and the exchange between different culinary cultures.
The event impressively demonstrated how well culinary diversity can be integrated into an open, regional event setting.
On Saturday, our China Foods Alliance Food Truck opened its hatches from morning until late in the evening. Visitors were able to enjoy our freshly prepared specialities throughout the day:
- Kongfu baozi
- Vegetarian shengjian bao
The Südi Opening showed how versatile Chinese street food concepts can be integrated into events - from public festivals to exclusive catering and corporate events. Whether food truck, live cooking or individual catering: we look forward to accompanying future events with Chinese cuisine and cultural moments of pleasure.
