Beggar’s Chicken 叫花鸡

A whole chicken marinated and wrapped in lotus leaves, then baked for a tender, aromatic dish.

Ingredients:

  • Whole chicken: 1 (cleaned)
  • Soy sauce: 3 tbsp
  • Lotus leaves: 2 (soaked in water)
  • Ginger: 3 slices

Instructions:

  • Marinate the chicken with soy sauce and ginger for 1 hour.
  • Wrap in lotus leaves and bake at 180°C for 1.5 hours.
