Exploring Chinese Cuisine (Educator Training in Shanghai)

Expand your knowledge and understanding of Chinese cuisine with CieCAS' 10 day intensive training program in Shanghai. Specially designed for teachers and educators, this program allows participants to deepen their understanding of Chinese cooking techniques, regional flavors and cultural significance.


Dates for the 2025 programme for teachers and educators

  • 4 dates per year during the school holidays (spring, summer, autumn, winter)

  • Programme 10 days in Shanghai & Yantai
  • Including 10 hotel nights (Sunday to Wednesday)
  • Including flight round trip Shanghai - Yantai
  • Including 7 dinners in selected restaurants in Shanghai
  • Accompaniment during the week by a German-speaking CFA assistant


Extension

Additional days in Shanghai before and after the course can be extended by the participants themselves


Flight 

  • The flight is booked and paid directly by the participant
  • 13:00: Departure from Zurich to Shanghai with Swiss direct (or with a stopover)

Transport to the Hotel:
Group Travel: If the participants are traveling in groups, China Foods Alliance can arrange a shared means of transport to the hotel. This can be organized upon receiving your flight details.

Individual Travel: Every participant will receive a Shanghai Transportation Card, which can be used to take the metro or bus, following our instructions on how to get to your hotel. The card is pre-loaded with CNY 200, which should cover the metro and bus needs within the city during the program.

 
 
 


Transport to the Airport:
When planning your departure, we suggest the following to ensure a smooth journey.

Departure Time: Please schedule your flight to depart no earlier than 10 AM. This will give you enough time to reach the airport, as the journey from the CieCAS training center or your hotel to Pudong Airport takes about 1.5 hours by metro, plus an additional 2 hours for check-in.

Group Travel: Again, if participants are traveling in groups, China Foods Alliance can arrange a shared means of transport to the airport. This can be organized upon receiving your flight details.

Individual Travel: We recommend using the Shanghai Transportation Card for the metro or bus system, following the instructions provided.


Hotal Accomodation:
The package includes hotel accommodation in the hotel from Sunday 5.10 to Wednesday 15.10. Let us know if you would like us to book additional hotel nights.
