China Foods Alliance takes shape - a project close to our hearts - by René Bachmann

Sometimes our greatest passions lead us into unexpected adventures and so it is with the China Foods Alliance. 


What began as an idea this spring has developed into a mission in recent months: to bring the diversity of Chinese cuisine to the hearts and kitchens of Switzerland.


Why? Because food connects. It tells stories, evokes memories and builds bridges between people and cultures. With the Alliance, we want to create more than just culinary experiences - we want to bring people together, arouse their curiosity and allow them to experience the richness of a tradition that is thousands of years old. How do we achieve this? With projects that make me incredibly proud:


The first official China Foods Guide in Switzerland

A hand-picked guide that combines not only the best Chinese restaurants, but also the 8 regional cuisines, authentic recipes and cultural knowledge. A gift for all foodies and culture vultures.


Exclusive training courses in Shanghai

A dream for chefs and teachers: Tradition meets innovation in tailor-made programmes that delve deep into the art of Chinese cuisine. The programme was created in collaboration with CieCAS-Center of innovative & entrepreneurial Culinary Arts + Services And yes, for teachers we are working on support with Movetia - because education connects.


Culinary team building events

Whether you're making hotpot or dumplings together - our events create memories, promote team spirit and open up new perspectives.


A small, fine online shop

With hand-picked food accessories and products from Chinese cuisine. The perfect blend of tradition and modernity - and perhaps the idea for a special Christmas present? It would be cool if you could find your gift this year.
